MICHELLE MITCHELL
Customer Manager, New Zealand Trade & Enterprise
Originally a lawyer, Michelle made the switch early to business. The majority of her career has been at Icebreaker clothing; she was the first employee, reporting to the CEO and Board for the first 10 years during the company’s initial commercialisation, and then its domestic and international market establishment. Michelle led and grew wholesale markets, launched ECommerce in the USA, built the Canadian market, directed the NZ retail team, led the product team and was a core lead member in the creation of the Icebreaker culture.
Leaving Icebreaker in 2016, Michelle is now based in Dunedin as New Zealand Trade & Enterprise Customer Manager; where her focus is on emerging innovative growth companies that are looking to scale in offshore markets.
SARAH RAMSAY
Managing Director, Immersion Ventures
Sarah is the managing director of Immersion Ventures. Strategy is her game. Sarah loves getting to the bottom of a business and figuring out what makes it tick, and most importantly what makes their customers tick - so that she can help optimise their marketing strategy and ultimately the customer's experience.
Immersion has recently pivoted from a marketing agency; now they don’t charge their clients money for their services, they invest in them instead. Immersion Ventures provides angel investment, governance or sweat equity partnerships in the form of marketing, strategy and sales.
GREG FAHEY
CEO, Bison
Greg is CEO and co-founder of BISON, a Dunedin based tech company specialising in container lifting and weighing solutions for logistics and military. In four years, Greg and his team have built BISON from a startup into a fast growing exporter, with sales in over 35 countries and a customer list including NASA, the US Army, Virgin Orbital and many major multinationals.
